The Miss Lancaster County Scholarship Organization has been empowering local young women since 1922. Our organization provides opportunities for these amazing young women, ages 14 to 28, to earn scholarship awards for college, give back to their community, create a platform to exhibit their personal views on a critical issue, develop their public speaking and interview skills, and gain self-confidence.

 

The Miss Lancaster County Scholarship Competition is an official preliminary competition in the Miss America and Miss America's Outstanding Teen organization. Our titleholders qualify and advance to compete in the Miss Pennsylvania and Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen competition.

The Miss America Organization

 

Founded in 1921, the Miss America Organization (MAO), a 501(c) 4 non-profit corporation, is one of the nation’s leading advocates for women’s education. It is also the largest provider of scholarship assistance to young women, awarding millions of educational scholarships annually.  In addition, MAO contestants contribute over 500,000 hours of community service annually and have raised over $14 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Miss America scholarships since 2007.
